I'm one of those who knew from a very young age that I wanted to become a News Journalist (Broadcasting, of course!) and not be a mere average bear. My mother used to put me in front of the television while I would do my homework in grade school...Fortunately for me, I used to watch A LOT...And "the breaking news" is that's when I decided to be a Journalist! Ok- Ok- maybe I was too young to actually remember the specifics now, but it probably happened something like that.
While following the path toward a graduate degree in Journalism, I discovered that life had so many other things to offer as well. I found great joy in pursuing many different hobbies and interests. Modeling, acting, beauty contests, skiing, rollerblading, ice skating, cooking (or attempting to cook, I should say - hee hee!), engineering, empowering other women, and even sewing -- I've enjoyed them all. Live life to its fullest, I say! Carpe Diem!
Given my different activities and pursuits, some have asked me if I'd ever consider moving on to a different career. Right now, I can't imagine not completing my graduate studies and following my dream to be a News Journalist. It's something I worked hard to achieve and I'm quite happy doing what I do. That's not to say that I won't make time to supplement my education with other interests that further enrich my life.
I have realized I have been blessed with many talents in my life. I'm fortunate in many ways and thankful for all of them. I know one of these avenues will someday lead me to a brighter future.
Stay tuned for other great updates in my lil' ol' life...
